Gem completed her CKC (Canadian) and AKC (American) championships in fine style before being bred just twice.  

The first litter, sired by CH. Rochil's Opening Act, produced four champions, making her an ABC Dam of Merit.  

Her second litter, sired by CH. Rochil's Call of the Wild, SOM, produced three more champions. 

She is the ruler by which all of our future dogs are measured by.  The greatest of companions and dearly missed.

Kizzie is a Gem granddaughter, her mother is River (CH. Kandiyohi's Wakpa Rochil).  Her name means "where the rivers meet" in Sioux.  She was a wonderful surprise addition to our home, our first brindle in a decade and the SWEETEST girl.  

She was owner-handled to her UKC championship and finished her AKC championship in fine order.

Kizzie is the dam of our current show hopefuls Fannie (Kandiyohi’s Minnetaga) and Goodie (Kandiyohi’s Minnewashta).

Minnewashta is a Minnesota lake and means “good water” in Sioux, hence her call name “Goodie.”

Goodie finished her AKC Championship very quickly after moving to Arizona with handler Aaron Rosas and his team. She is Kizzie’s first champion and adds to Pablo’s champion count.

Goodie and I ventured into IABCA dog shows and she earned her International Championship with me on the lead!

Goodie went back out with Aaron Rosas & team to earn her AKC Grand Championship before returning home permanently to venture into the whelping box.

Goodie has been health tested (holter-normal, ECHO-normal, ARVC 1 & 2-normal, DM-carrier) .

I feel like I have been waiting for Fannie since the day her great grand-dam Gem (A/C CH. Rochil’s Ladyslipper, DOM) passed away. She is so much like Gem (both good and bad), it is incredible.

Minnetaga (minnie - Tah - gah) is the name of a lake nearby and means “frothy water” or “foamy water” in Sioux.

Fannie started her show career with Aaron Rosas after our move to Arizona and finished with 2 Best of Opposite Sex, 3 majors and Best of Breed over specials!

She is the second champion from her litter, behind her brindle sister Goodie (INT CH./GCH. Kandiyohi’s Minnewashta).

Fannie has been health tested (holter-normal, ECHO-normal, ARVC 1 & 2-normal, DM-carrier) and will be bred in 2025-2026.

We are happy to co-own Grant — CH. Rochil’s Class Action with Rochil Boxers.  This is the last champion from the last Rochil litter bred by Perry and Sandi Combest.

This pedigree is very special, representing the future and the past.  Grant is a CH. Rochil’s Grande Marshall, SOM/LOM grandson (sired by CH. Bullock’s Heman) made possible through artificial insemination.  If you are unfamiliar with Maxx, follow this link to read a tribute to this incredible dog.

Grant moved up to the frozen North, learned about snow and became an AKC Champion! He was handled to all his point wins by Stan & Jane Flowers - one of the last Boxers finished by the Flowers before their deaths.

PEDIGREE

After finishing his championship, Grant went home to Texas where he lived out the rest of his life with littermate Lotte and the Combests, until Perry and Grant’s deaths in 2024.

River's name literally means "river" in Sioux.  She was my pick puppy from Gem's 2007 litter, but life happened.  Mary Jackson (Marjack Boxers) took her, finished her AKC championship, and sent me one of her puppies - my Kizzie.

Following in her dam's footsteps, Vixen completed both her CKC and AKC championships.  Proving boxers have beauty and brains, she has also earned a Herding Instinct Certificate.

Vixen is owned by Livin Boxers (Alberta, CAN)

From Gem's 2007 litter, Naughtee was very aptly named.  From a litter of 9, Naughtee was the first to achieve her AKC championship, becoming Gem's fifth champion offspring.

Tina (named after Tina Turner) was from Gem's 2005 litter.  She placed in her ABC Futurity and Am-Bred class at the 2006 American Boxer Club specialty.  She was the second from her litter to finish her AKC championship.

Channing is from Gem's 2005 litter.  She finished AKC championship with THREE back-to-back-to-back majors.

Channing lived to be 14 1/2 years of age. Her two nieces (Tori & Goldie) now reside with the Koenigs in Oklahoma.

Affectionately known as "The Mighty Quinn," he was the first of our 2005 litter to finish his AKC championship, with three majors.  He placed well in the futurity at the American Boxer Club specialty and has Best of Breed wins to his credit.

Patrick is from Gem's 2005 litter.  He placed in the Open Fawn Dog class in the 2008 American Boxer Club speciality.  

When Patrick finished his AKC championship, it made his dam (Gem) an ABC Dam of Merit and her sire (A/C CH Berlane's Causin' An Uproar, SOM) a Legion of Merit.

Woody (short for Hollywood) is a Gem grandson, through his dam Vixen.  

Bred by Livin Boxers (Alberta, CAN), he returned to finish his Canadian championship.

He is never seen without a stick in his mouth!

Sired by Westminster winning CH. Storybook's Rip It Up, SOM, Story was  our first homebred (Canadian) champion.  She was the dam of four Canadian champions .

Jack finished his Canadian championship after his littermate Story.  He sired a couple of litters and was able to put his "stamp" on them.

Manny was our pick from our 2002 "Natives" litter.  His registered name means "cloudy" or "milky water" in Sioux, and is how Minnesota got its name.

After finishing his Canadian championship, he joined his littermate Torri with the Bruce Carlson family.

Wanci means "one" in Sioux, as she was the first born in our 2003 litter.  She moved to Canada (Wilking Boxers) and finished her Canadian championship.

Buddy's name means "very good" in Sioux.  He finished his Canadian championship in short order and was AKC pointed before being retired.  Such a sweet, sweet boy and so easy to live with.
